Homeward Bound! - Day 6

Well, it finally happened.  I got behind in my post.  So, this is actually yesterday's update!  We left an hour later than what I had hoped.  But at least it was not raining and causing great delays in our timing.

Chris had heard of this garlic shop that we stopped up along the way.  The whole place smelled like garlic inside and out.  And there was a field of garlic growing near by.  We ventured in to see what they had and boy did they have "stuff" in there!  I didn't feel that I could comfortably take any pics though.

We browsed around for about twenty minutes and then headed back outside after purchasing some hot sauce and garlic jerk seasoning.

They were housing some donkeys, chickens, goats and cows.  I'm not sure of what that had to do with garlic, but there they were!

I know I have seen these kinds of chickens before, but I don't remember what they are called now.

horses!  I forgot to mention the horses.....:-).

It was time to head up the coast and continue our travels.  We had a long way to go yet.  Our destination was Culver City, California today.

I'm always amazed at the scenery along the way.  It's always different and always beautiful.

and a bit strange at times too...ha

The smell of the ocean always comforts me.  I love being by the way.  Not so much in it as near it though.......:-).  I hope to be able to get to some beach and dip my toes before we leave!

and we're traveling........

and traveling......

by the time we got there, it was 13 hours later and we had one more stop to make.  We let the hotel recommend where to drop the trailer so that it would be secure and covered the scoots up for the night.

They didn't have the king room we wanted as we decided to extend our trip for another night since we arrived so late.  But they did offer us a room with TWO king beds for those two night.

Okie dokie then!  We dropped our bags in the room and headed out for our last stop of the night.

We paid a short visit to of our daughters who lives here.  Here she is with her Dad.  We were very  happy to see each other, but we were exhausted! hahaha

We snapped a couple of pictures and exchanged kisses and hugs.

More hugs and kisses with her Dad......:-)  Then headed back to our hotel glad that we extended our stay a day and to be able to spend more time with her tomorrow before resuming our travels.

Stay tuned!
